This interface box allows to connect through the YAESU FT-857D’s CAT (Computer Aided Transceiver) mini-din 8, both a serial wired link to a computer and a PTT line to an amplifier. It also includes a Bluetooth module to replace the serial wired link if necessary.
This interface box can be used with the YAESU FT-857, FT-897, FT-817 and FT-818 radios.
Warning: The Bluetooth module is powered from the 13.8V on the 8-pin min-din socket. On the FT-817 (FT-818?) the Bluetooth module is powered by the build-in battery even if the radio is turned off.
